Technical stuff - hints and tips
Here are some hints and tips we've picked up along the way, all designed to improve your photography.

Backing up your images

Think of how much time, effort and money you’ve spent compiling your back catalogue of images. And you’re entrusting it all to one solitary piece of fragile electronic hardware that could break at any time? A 1tb external hard drive is about fifty quid off Amazon, and both Windows and MAC OS have software that will keep your hard drive automatically backed up. If you’ve got high speed broadband, use cloud storage (everything is backed up to a remote server somewhere in, for example, Louisiana). It really is daft not to do this. If your images are lost, they’re lost, and that’s it. DO IT TODAY (or even sooner).

PS I lost the first ever image I took of my younger grandson that way...
